Just left Cocina Azul and had one of those experiences that just leaves you wanting to come back everyday. I sat at the bar and Freddy helped me out and I haven't seen someone with that much hustle, that much smile, and that much friendliness in a longggg time. You can tell how much he loves his customers and coworkers and it really stood out. I had chips and salsa to start with both red and green salsa. I'm from California and usually red salsa is the more spicy option but the green salsa actually had a pretty good kick to it. More than the red! I also ordered the creamy chicken enchilada plate which came out super quick and was so good I regrettably ate the whole plate Freddy also recommended the vegetable soup (I forget the name) and a little side of rice. Then at the end when I was stuffed to the brim he convinced me to try a sopapilla. When he brought this out it was still deflating from the oven (or however they're made) and I ripped that bad boy open and put some honey in it. It was the perfect cap to the dinner. Everyone behind the bar was hustling, happy, and a pleasure to shoot the sh*t with. I'll be back next time I'm in town. Thanks Freddy!

I found them through the Yelp app I had no expectations, but the food was excellent. The amount of food was exceptional and the price point was great. I will definitely be going back when I'm back in Albuquerque

This is the original Cocina Azul the one on Paseo was sold to someone and i don't think that one is as authentic or as good as the one on Mountain. I have known the owner for a long time and they are like eating at moms.

Service was absolutely incredible. The servers gave us extra take home chips and salsa! The food was delicious. I had the blue corn buffalo enchiladas. They were a little beefy but I enjoyed the extra protein intake. Ambiance was nice outside with a good view of the mountains, but we never made our way inside.

Omg . Stopped by for lunch on our way from Taos to Flagstaff and this was exactly what we needed. With 3 teenage boys and a husband, this not only satisfied their large appetites but we had boxes of leftovers too! When we arrived the line was at the door and my hungry boys thought the wait would be too long but they seated us quickly (5-10 mins) and we knew what to order (horchata for the kids, margarita for me and beer for my husband). Plus all the reviews raved about the brisket, so we had to order that in every dish - enchiladas, tacos, and quesadilla. So yummy!!!!

Wonderful experience. Jesus T was quick to take our order & make us feel welcome. Building was clean, seats/tables were spaced very well apart, very nice atmosphere. We both were very happy with our meal quality. Enough to have a second meal for dinner that night. Everything had a fresh quality taste. I was surprised at the taco, being packed to the top with a very delicious meat. The sopapaillas were some of the best I have ever eaten. Tasted like a normal delicious sopapaillas, but with a fried bread texture. This was a wonderful end to a great meal I watched their team handle a two large table of folks with ease. Look at the pictures to see how wonderful this place really is. Parking lot had plenty areas to park, (even an overflow area) really not enough room for large RVs. I highly recommend this place

Sorry gang not but one pix. It had been a long hot day and all we wanted was a cool seat and food. Neat restaurant with great decor. Ample parking when you figure out you can park across the street also. (Reading signs is sometimes hard for me). I had the shrimp tacos with the pinto beans and rice. Very good when you add the red and green sauces. Joe had a Sopapilla (Spelling is hard for me also) burger. It was huge and delicious. Great experience. Place is popular apparently and so we had to wait to be seated but it wasn't bad. Service was solid as my water glass stayed full.
